All Birth Centre

about All Birth Centre

hi, I'm Kathleen Stanford. I am a birth doula and childbirth educator and have been doing this work for over a decade. I felt strongly and passionately that our community needed a space where all the education, community and support could be held in one beautiful space. And so, the All Birth Centre was born with the vision of creating a safe space for all pregnant and postpartum people, partners and supporters. This is a community born out of a desire to offer a space that gathers all the offerings of our talented and wise community leaders and facilitators in one place

here's whats happening at the Centre

Innate Postpartum Care: Planning for the Fourth Trimester Course

INNATE Postpartum Care was created by Certified Professional Midwife (CPM), Rachelle Garcia Seliga, to fulfill the needs of women and families during the postpartum period. Holistic postpartum care is a necessity to anyone who births, no matter their birth outcome and INNATE Postpartum Care Certified Practitioners are filling this gap.
In this community education offering, you and your family will learn the essentials of postpartum wellness. This weekend format course is open to all pregnant people, and anyone who will be supporting the mother in the postpartum time ( partner, husband, grandmother, sister, etc.)

INNATE Postpartum Care Planning for the Fourth Trimesters is community education that supports maternal health and our collective life force. As a means to foster community, each family who attends this class series will return back together (following their birth) to reunite and celebrate in the way of community. Through this connection, the rite of passage of both birth and parenthood are witnessed, completing this sacred initiation. Community roots itself as the foundation of INNATE Postpartum Care and we will celebrate our togetherness as we conclude with this final gathering (date TBD based on each families respective births).

Alli is a Certified INNATE Postpartum Care Provider and a Holistic Birth & Postpartum Doula. She is a mama and longtime practitioner of the healing arts, with over a decade of experience as a teacher of yoga and embodiment. Her journey into birth and postpartum care emerged with the birth of her daughter and inside this lived experience, Alli recognizes the necessity of holistic tending throughout the childbearing continuum.

Kanga : A fitness class for babywearing mamas

Kangatraining is a complete workout during which both cardiovascular endurance/flexibility and muscular capacity/strength are enhanced. Unlike traditional exercise classes, the babies are worn on them and get to be part of the action!

Kangtrainers are also trained in babywearing best practices and can help moms ensure the safest and most comfortable carrying positions for their babies. The name ‘Kangatraining’ comes from ‘Winnie the Pooh’ whereby the Kanga mother dotes on her playful and energetic baby joey Roo!

Instructor: Danielle Marshall is the Kangatrainer for Kelowna and Lake Country. Danielle also has first aid certifications and has passed exams in anatomy, postnatal health, and babywearing safety. She's the founder of Tides Wellness Collective, has a degree in Health Sciences (BHMKN), and is a YA certified Yoga Teacher.
